Well, it's not often that I get to experience the joys of our almost three year old, but today, I had one that I thought was blog worthy, so without further ado:
There is a song on one of Erin's videos about a boy named "Bill Joe McGuffrey". The song starts out, "Now, Billy Joe McGuffrey was a really clumsy kid" and then goes on to talk about all the things that happened to Billy. Well, Erin wanted me to sing this song for her tonight and I was telling her I don't know the song and asked her to tell me how it goes. So with all the musical talent she could muster, she started to sign "Now Billy Joe McGuffrey was a very fluffy kid", but that's all she could remember of the song too. Needless to say, I got a good laugh from that one.

Good Start
Well, Dad came over last night to help me work on the Bronco. We got the Transfer Case pulled and now it's sitting in my garage waiting to be disassembled. It really wasn't as difficult as I had thought it might be for us to get out. My arms are sore today from working on the Bronco since I spent quite a bit of the time laying on my back with my arms up working on stuff. Anyhow, it feels good to have that step done. Now I just need to crack it open and see if we can figure out what's wrong with it. Well I had a fun time driving to work this morning, I about had a wreck with the same car 5 times today. The first time was turning off of Birch in Eudora where he was to antsy to wait his turn to turn and we about collided, the second was as we were merging onto K-10 where he couldn't wait to pass me and started passing me before I was even off the ramp and I almost side swiped him, and then three times because while driving down K-10 because apparently he felt I was following too close and decided to slam on his breaks and then he'd speed off. Of course my car doesn't have the punch to slow down and take off like his does, so instead of me being able to pass him I end up slowly catching back up and having to wait again. What a prick. So my morning is off to a good start.

Inspiration
I received the following quote in my E-mail today...Thanks Mom.
Very few sink beneath the burden of one day. It is when the challenge of tomorrow and the sorrow of yesterday is added to the burden of today that the weight seems to be more than one can bear. Bear only today's burden, let tomorrow take care of itself and let yesterday fade away.

Nothing Comes To Mind
Well, I really want to blog and unload on the world, but I sit here and nothing comes to mind to write. Sure there are plenty of things on my mind, just nothing that I feel like sharing with the world. It's amazing sometimes to think that I have a platform from which I spew my crap to a world wide audience. Well, I'm done studying for tonight, and now I'm thinking I'm going to bed. Maybe I won't get up in the morning, wouldn't that be grand. Well, someone has to pay the bills...I wonder who that is, cause it's certainly not me right now. Oh well, I haven't gotten to many nasty grams...yet. Anyhow, I'm off to a world all my own, maybe some of you will join me tonight, but then again, maybe it's best that you don't.

Nervous Breakdown
n. - A severe or incapacitating emotional disorder, especially when occurring suddenly and marked by depression.
Well, today has been another fun day on my emotional rollercoaster. I'm not going to go into all the details, but the past few days have been kind of rough on me. I guess I do have some good news, the Bronco is back in the driveway and waiting for me to pull the transfer case and start poking around in it to figure out what's wrong. Of course, with every piece of good news, comes some bad news... I don't have any money for parts, just another piece to add into the whole emotional ride I'm taking. Can somebody please stop this, I want to get off.

The Road Less Traveled
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference

Erin's New Friend - Mr. Spider
We stopped by Kwik Shop tonight to get some slushies on our way home from Lawrence. Sarah wanted to talk to the clerk so Erin and I wandered outside to drink our slushies and wait for Sarah. As we're standing there Erin spotted a bug on the bricks in front of the store. Erin, thinking it's a spider, can't quit talking about it. Soon, she breaks into a dialog which follows as such...
Hello Mr. Spider.
My name's Erin
I'm wearing a purple shirt
Don't crawl on it, cause that would hurt, you would bite me, and I'd stomp on you!
Needless to say Mr. Spider kept his distance.
